Yes I know I was told you I'd blog this yesterday
There was a good reason why I didn't but I'll get to that later. Here was my plan for Christmas yesterday
7:00 am- wake up parents for present opening
7:15 am- open presents
8:00 am- eat breakfast
9:00 am- play with presents
4:00 pm- Eat dinner
5:00 pm- Open stockings
5:30 pm- play with presents
6:30 pm- get ready for and go watch the new National Treasure movie
Why, you ask, did this plan not happen? Well it was because I was very sick. I still woke my parents up at 7 and opened my presents but after breakfast I started to feel really sick. I wasn't able to play with my new Wii because I had lost a lot of my muscle strength to my illness. I later in the afternoon threw up my french toast from breakfast. I still ate a little bit of turkey but threw that up right before I went to bed last night. I wasn't able to go to the movie so we ordered a paperveiw movie that I missed portions of as I was on the bathroom floor feeling horrible. So yes I know that I was going to blog yesterday but I just didn't feel up to the task.

Do you hear what I hear?
Alright, you're going to need some backstory for this post. It is an ongoing dispute between me and my dad. I run the easyworship program for my church which puts the worlds to songs on the wall so that the people can know what they are and because of the historical inaccuracy of the song "Do you hear what I hear" I am boycotting it and not putting it up and my dad is mad at me about this. I'll post the song here and show you what I mean by historical inaccuracy
"Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see
Way up in the sky little lamb
Do you see what I see
A star, a star
Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite"
Now since when does wind talk? Since when do sheep understand? And wasn't it the magi who saw and understood what the star meant, not livestock?
"Said the little lamb to the shepard boy
Do you hear what I hear
Ringing through the sky shepard boy
Do you hear what I hear
A song, a song
High above the tree
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea"
So now they have moved up from just the wind talking to sheep talking? Also there was more than one shepard and they heard it from angels, not some stupid lamb.
"Said the shepard boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know
In your palace wall mighty king
Do you know what I know
A child, a child
Shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Let us bring him silver and gold"
Ok in the first place, the shepards did not tell the king about Jesus, it was the magi. First of all if you look in the bible, the king knew nothing about this until the magi came, which with the distance they had to travel probably wasn't about until two years later. Also the king would have never even let in some shepard to his palace and if he did, he wouldn't believe him on this matter. Also why would the shepards tell the king to take the child silver and gold? First of all the shepards whould have know better than to tell the king to do anything and they said "is shivering in the cold, let us bring him silver and gold" while it would have been more usefull for him to have a blanket if he was cold.
"Said the king to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say
Pray for peace people everywhere
Listen to what I say
The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light"
Since when was Herod happy about Jesus' birth? He tried to KILL him!!!!
So as you can see there isn't even one true verse in this song. And they try to pass this off as a Christmas song. Makes me sick just thinking about it!

Its done, finally done!
My Christmas shopping for my parents and siblings is done. While I got no lists from them (even though I gave them my list!) I got them all gifts.
Besides that not much is going on here. I went to a district bible quiz and did pretty well... I can't believe I only got 3rd after all that hard work goofing off!

I'm feeling a litte sad...
For winning that chess tournament I got a dog tag and a medal (I'll post pictures of them later when my parents get home.) Well I think the dog tag looks awesome so I wore it to school today but three fourths of the way through English class the chain broke... Now I can't wear it anymore until I get a new one. At least I'll have a football game and the season finale of heroes to cheer me up tonight.
Anyway not much is going on but I do have a bible quiz on Saturday. Its kinda boring over here...

My first post
Alright, since it seems as if the only conceivable my family can communicate is through blogs (our phones must feel neglected), and everyone, even Josh, seems to have a blog, I figured it was time to start one. I will probably update quite frequently for a while, get bored and stop updating until someone complains about it and eventually forces me, against my will, to start posting again.
Yesterday I went with my church to this thing called Festival of Life and, even though its only the district level and not the regional level, I won first in the Chess tournament. This means that if my parents will pay for it, I can go to Boston for the regional Festival of Life so everyone please petition my parents to let me go, and if they don't, bug them until they do.
I'll update more tomorrow but I have to go to bed right now
