Now I know I was supposed to post yesterday, but I had good reason not to, and when you find out, you'll understand. I'm not going to go into why in this post, but I will soon.
Anyway, yesterday, we went to busch gardens. It was pretty fun, even if everyone was trying to get me to ride a rollercoaster. We went into this ride called Curse of DarKastle, where it was a haunted house ride where everything was in 3D. It was good, but the line to get in was so long, it wasn't worth it. But after that we went and did bumper cars. Then Dayne went to ride all the roller coasters while Dad, me and whitney went to see a show of a bunch of pets doing tricks. It was pretty fun. Then we went into a place where you could be a cup of food and bring it in for the birds inside. I wanted to get a good picture with a parrot on my shoulder so I could look like a pirate, but they all either were at the food or attacking my ear. I don't know why the attacked my ears, but they all did. Then one pooped on me, and another came up to my ear and screeched. Over all though it was fun.
The events that followed Busch gardens caused me to not post last night, but I'm not going into that right now. All I'll tell you is that we went to a ghost tour of williamsburg.

Colonial Williamsburg
As you can probably guess fromt the title, we went to colonial Williamsburg today. We went to the Govener's Palace, the Gunsmith, the courthouse (and saw a court case re-enactment) and a bunch of other places. Now colonial Williamsburg isn't really something that you can just convey with words, so I hope eventually to get some pictures up, but until then this is all you get.
We also went to a murder mystery dinner theater to watch "Death by Disco". It was pretty good, but they gave clues in the playbill thingy that you weren't supposed to look at until they told you to (one guy tried to cheat and got his playbill thing taken away) but when they did let us look at them everyone solved the murder through the clues in there (well to be truthful, I didn't understand 2 of them so I bugged my dad until he told me what they ment). I kinda would have liked it better without the clues because then you'd actually have to try to figure it out instead of just solving little clues.
Anyway, that's about all we did today, I'll post again tommorow.

A Beetle Story
Yeah I forgot to post about the beetle when I made my post about camp. Alright, so while I was at camp we had small groups and our small group decided to meet down at the pavilion. On the first day there we all sat at the tables in the third row and we talked, so naturally when I was the first person down there for small groups the next day, I sat in the third row. But when people came down they for some unknown reason decided to sit in the second row. So when everyone had come and sat in the second row, I decided to move to the second row to hear better (if your wonder why talking so much about tables and what does this have to do with the aforementioned beetle, I'm getting there.) As I sat down I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head and there was this giant beetle caught in a spider's web by its back legs (how it got caught by its back legs only, I still don't know.) This was the point at camp when I most wished I had had a camera. It had giant pincers and was thrashing about crazily when I first saw it. I went back later that day and it was barely moving. I went back in the morning and the spider had brought the beetle up in the web. I saw the spider crawling away from the beetle after it had finished its work, and that beetle was at least 10 times as big as the spider.
Anyway, I'll still post an actuall vacation post tonight, but that's the beetle story.

More Ramblings
Since I'm actually going to be posting during vacation I don't have to rely on my horrid memory to post after its over. Any way, today is officially the first day of our vacation to Williamsburg. We drove down today and dropped of our dog at... I mean visited Aunt Julie's. Then after some good time there (complete with an episode of the Magic School Bus and Asa going into my dog's cage) we went back on the road until we made it to Williamsburg. We checked into the hotel and went to Ihop, where I had a nice shrimp and crab omlete.
Now because I was down at Aunt Julie's today, she asked me how my team placed at Nationals. Why she couldn't put this question in the form of a comment on my blog, I don't know. Serriously it seems like no one ever comments on these things (except Grandma). Anyway, I was actually on 3 teams, a local one, a district one and the region B one. The district and local ones I was on place 6 and 10, I don't remember which was which. The region B team placed last and the region A team I wasn't on was second or third.
Now I want to tell you a story about a beetle from camp, but I don't have time, as my mom is telling me to go to bed.
I'll post again tommorow

A new post
What? I'm actually blogging. Yes its true, and if anyone actually checks my blog anymore and sees this, they deserve a medal or something (not that I have enough money to even buy a medal, but its the thought that counts right?) Now, what's happened since I last blogged back in the time known as march. Well I went to the Regional bible Quiz at the Eastern Nazarene college in Boston (where they feel the need to try to recruit every quizzer, incessently), where I did well enough to qualify for the second team at the national quiz in Idaho (mostly due to one of the best districts in the region diciding not to go.) So off I went to the national quiz hosted by some college which name elludes me at the moment, where I was again assaulted by college recruitment ad. But over all it was fun, even if the band that they had play there played their music about as loud as possible and on the way back I started preparing for the next quizzing year. I've already memorized Luke 1 and 30 verses of Luke 2, so I can quote the Christmas story this year without a bible.
I just recently returned from camp, which was awesome. Although I was greatly dissapointed by the complete lack of underground church (an awesome game, usually played at camp.) I also found a preying mantis. I wish I had had a camera so I could post a picture of him. He was pretty small for a preying mantis and was brown, not green but he was probably just young. There was a shaving cream war, and even though I didn't preticipate, I still got attacked by someone who was covered after the battle was over.
Other than that, I really haven't done anything worth mentioning this summer. I've done a lot of sleeping (I always say the summer is the teenager's hibernation) We are going on vacation tommorow, so if I remember I'll have something to post when I get back.
